The Last Tram

In
contrast to the H cars in use on the Glenelg Line, H 360 has been restored to
its essential 1929 condition. You will notice the lack of multiple head and tail
lights, varnished timber doors (in lieu of the current fiberglass jobbys) and of
course the good old fashioned trolley poles!
The
attached photo shows 360 entering the Museum area after running the last public
trip for the day from St Kilda Beach on Sunday 3 March 2002. As with all of the
St Kilda trams, this one is is pristine condition and all are very well
presented. Full marks to the AETM for turning out a wonderful assortment of
trams that are well loved.
The
other cars in service that day were E1 111 (saloon), B 42 (toastrack), W2 294
(Melb drop centre, built in Adelaide) and F1 264 (Adelaide droppy). Photos of
