It was a real bear going up those stairs to get your outfit and pay in. Steep and long. All the offices except the starter's were upstairs.

Not quite the genuine item - this pic was taken during a TMSV tour near Footscray station in '67. (For out of towners, part of the Footscrau system survives in the cross country run to Moonee Ponds) We were not even savvy enough to change the destination blinds!! The pic of the depot was taken in '64. I can hear the AEC half cab fraternity breathing heavily already!
