G'Day Matt
I can't put my fingure on my copy of Dest Subi at the mo', so I will
work off memory about car details:
PETS has the following cars- all stored under cover, bar one:
Fremantle Municipal Tramways:
FMT 14- single truck californian combination- last of original 1905
batch purchased to commence tramway operations. Awaits restoration-
no truck- imported in kit form, assembled in the FMT Carbarn, High
Street Freo Retired early 1950's
FMT 28 and 29- bogie saloon cars- almost identical to Perth D Class
cars. Built 1921 at Midland Railway Workshops. 29 restored 1992 with
Brill 77E trucks ex-Kagoshima in lieu of Brill 62E max-trax (am I
right Greg?????). 28's body is in VGC, but is well down the
restoration list- used currently as sleepout within the Carbarn.
Retired 1952
FMT 36- bogie saloon- 1939 FMT Workshops- last car built for WA
tramways- used modified Melb No. 9 trucks. Partly restored by
previous owner for use as a devonshire tea joint- in great nick and
well up the restoration wish list. Retired 1952
Missing FMT links- single truck enclosed saloon 11, and former
toastrack enclosed saloon 23.
Kalgoorlie Electric Tramway Company Cars
No. 4- 1901? single truck enclosed saloon car- well weathered under
the Kal dry hot climate you would know so well.
No. 25- 1901? bogie saloon with celestory roof. Tram is well up the
list of cars to restore as it represents the Kalg system. Is well
preserved, with many fittings remaining intact, including much of the
etched glass and lined ceiling.
No. 22 is now at SPER
I will do the list of Perth Cars ASAP

Hello all,often
Can anyone provide a list of cars and bodies at Whiteman Park? I'm
fascinated to read their achievements in TW but I've never seen alist of
what they have. I hope to one day find a copy of DestinationSubiaco, but
until then, could someone give a quick rundown of the major WAtramcar
types? I was born in 1971 in Kalgoorlie, and my dad tells me thathe seems
to remember 'tram tracks in the Boulder road' but little else.Living now in
Wagga Wagga, I've never had the chance to go back. One day...http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
Thanks alot...
