Wellington has always had a fascinating variety of trolleybus overhead. Ohio
Brass mixed with British BICC in the 1950s and 60s, homemade copies of OB
designs in the 70s, and in the 80s Kummler and Matter rewired the downtown
streets with their flexible design. K&M curves have been installed in the
suburbs to replace OB curve segments in many places. The K&M switches were
not so successful (they kept falling apart) and have been replaced with
locally-made copies of OB designs. Aro St - where I live - has BICC, classic
OB, K&M and locally made overhead components in its short length!

The overhead appears to be good old Ohio Brass, which was universal in the

Compare this with the New plymouth shot.
