Hopefully that it won't be like that. From the picture, it looks like
that there are 3 doors per side, with 2 doors in the 2nd section and
one in the 4th. Doesn't make it easy to get in and out of for
passengers (just like how the Citadis should have a 4th door right at
the end) and the driver (to change points manually etc.)

The line drawings I've seen of them tend to indicate that they do look
similar to the units in Germany, though not *quite* the same. (I recieved
the line drawings from an anonymous source and am unable to scan them - i
dont have a flat bed scanner, sorry).

The five section units have four doors per side.

[1 small][1 large between two windows][none][2 large with a window
between][none]
Or if you're looking at the tram from the other side it is..
[1 small][2 large with a window between][none][1 large with two windows
(one either side)][none]

The three section unit is to have the same door layout as a Citadis.

The entrance layout will be much like a Variotram (i.e. like our current
trams but low floor), hence there is no-where to put a rear door.

I've not seen an internal layout of the five section, but the three section
has the Metcard machine to be placed inbetween one door and the
articulation in one end of the centre section. The middle of the centre
section is to have three fold down seats on each side able to accomodate
two wheelchairs. Unlike the Citadis, there is only two seats on each side
next to the bogie (unlike the Citadis 4 on each side). i.e. one seat facing
another on each side.

Counting the seats, there are 36 in total, without the Metcard machine
there would be 38.

The line drawings of both the three and five units indicate they will have
a real external mirror and not CCTV like the Citadis.

Incidentally, the catalogue version looks very similar to the German unit
mentioned above, and similar to the line drawing.

Lets just hope they have a real bell!!!

MK.
