-G'day Mal,bet, given the time ,that he/she was running in after the
PM peak in a hurry to sign off,did both axles derail?I suppose they
must have to clobber the safety zone.Re R10,the breakdown
vehicle,Yarra has it and apparently it is available to rent by
Mtram,what a balls-up it is,dividing one system into two.Re Mtram,I
was talking to a bloke by name John Hickey on Friday, works for M and
is a fan and a trammie of long standing,he said the Combinos are
expected to start arriving in March.Anyone know what stage we are at
with the Ws[green]?.I know nought about Combinos, anyone got a photo
or two to post?Regards all,Peter Bruce.-- In

About 6.30pm tonight an up B class articulated rounded the curve
from Fletcher St into Pascoe Vale Rd at some speed. Well, the
first
two bogies rounded the curve. The bogie under the final section
left the rails and carved a new third (almost perfectly parallel)
track down Pascoe Vale Rd for about 300 metres. Driver appears not
to have noticed ... until the rear section hit the Safety Zone prow
at Buckley St and mounted it!

It's now 8.30pm and the car is back on the rails but still no
regular service. Driver has not been sighted recently.

Interesting to watch two heavy recovery tow trucks trying to move a
tram - wonder what happened to the old crew who operated R10 and
knew how to get a tram back on the rails?

(My first post - sorry, no camera to record the carnage!)
