Of course the aforementioned tram was 436. SW2 426 mentioned in the subject line is alive and well and living in Perth.

Gentlemen to answer your questions SW2 426 was a Kew car for most of it's operating life though it may have moved to Malvern towards the end.It finished its days under the MTA name it was sold and if my memory serves me correctly ended up in Kavanagh st. South Melbourne where its new owner carried out restoration work on the car removing the additional lighting that was fitted to it and restoring it back to original aprons.The tram sat down in South Melbourne for a number of years before turning up at Victoria Dock bound for New Zealand.

I believe WGB found the tram in New Zealand on one of his visit's to New Zealand.Trucker Graeme.
