ALL PLEASE READ--Changes to TramsDownUnder member policy

Hi, gang!
First of all, I want to apologize for having to put up with the SPAM
recently posted to the group. This jerk subscribed, posted his SPAM and
immediately unsubbed.
Regrettably, this has forced me to make some changes in the way members
subscribe to TramsDownUnder. From now on, all prospective members will have
to be approved by me or Val before they can join the group. Second, all new
members approved by me or Val will have their posts "moderated" for up to a
week to be sure they are not "spammers". Any message they send will be
moderated for content. If Val or I determine that the message is
appropriate for TramsDownUnder, we will approve the message and remove the
moderated restriction.
What does this mean to you? This restriction will apply for members
unsubscribing and resubscribing, regardless of how long they have been on
the group. Therefore, if you are going on vacation, holiday, or any other
absence, please go to the web site:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TramsDownUnder
and click on "Edit My Membership". On the next screen, change your mail
delivery method to "No Mail". When you return, change it back to your
previous method. If you don't have a Yahoo! ID, you can ask me or Val to
reset you.
I am sorry to have to do this. But more and more, spammers are finding more
creative ways to get around Yahoo's NO SPAM policy. So we have to stay a
step ahead of them.
