So you didn't forget me huh Greg?

Splendid shots of her first day, sometime in mid-December 1963. I know one shot (Bris550a) was taken at Bardon Terminus, but where was the second shot taken (Bris550), Stafford Terminus? Were you the photographer, or was it before your time? She looks great without Cinzano Ads emblazoned all over her.

I still think Phoenix cars were one of the most attractive tram cars built for Oz, small passenger windows included. Remember that the sun shines in Brisbane a lot more than in most parts of North America or Melbourne for that matter, so the small windows were suitable indeed in an age of no air conditioning. Just sit on a new-age bus with sealed full-height windows when the sun is booming down at ya' in the middle of summer and you will see the foresight of those designers way back when...

Viva la Phoenix Tram! FM car haters need not respond...

Ah Roy,

Now you wanted the shots of Brisbane 550 in service, here yah. The first day in service when built and when I found the car in Sydney and persuaded Stan Short to save it for the then, proposed Newcastle Museum.
