Bill,

A few are on the City Circle, with no ticket machines, heaviliy
modified with track braking systems and running a much reduced
service.

The entire CC service is now "W" but, until the next two arrive, still
finish at 3 pm

Time will tell on that one. The operating comapnies certainly don'ts
eem to be any hurry to get them back on the road, despite their
contractural commitmens to do so.

Green Car 983 has had a new brake system designed by Westinghouse with truck
mounted brake cylinders fitted and is being tested, as soon as it is
approved, the rest will be rotated through the shops to be done and
overhauled.

Greg

Further to my post #1183 wherein I discussed how to get a vintage tram
system started--and a booster group, many of you have mentioned City Circle.

Since this has W class trams on it, this may be a good place to start. I'm
not really aware of what City Circle does. Sounds like it may be like San
Jose's daytime Transit Mall vintage operation.
