Hello Rod,
Yes, extreme left Collins Street Baptist Church, then the pink building then George's department store for the rich and famous only, then Assembly Hall, then Scot's Church, then St.Michaels Uniting Church, former Congregational Church (Independent Church) then right of St Michael's tower the grey concrete wall is Gilbert Court Melbourne's VERY first then limit height of 132' skyscraper. There were dire forebodings at the time it was built that it was too high and would fall over in the first wind storm in the 1950's.
I don't know if it is still called Gilbert Court but as far as I know all buildings in the photo are still extant.
I used to have to go to a dentist at 88 Collins Street for dental work which involved the amazing experience for a primary school student of riding on a tram along open railway lines which of course are still open railway lines today in Victoria Parade.
I can well remember the fuss and bother when Gilbert Court was being built.
Victoria Parade was unbelievable to someone used to routes 7, 70 and 74 with no open track.
For what it is worth.
