They state today that 670 was withdrawn from service 32 years ago. It
later headed for the Haddon Tramway Workshops.
Its story is :- Entered service 13-11-1933. Depots GH A (SM)
Ive seen it running from Preston (P) but not for long.

Noone picked who was the last to get a w4 into the streets. The Bounds
Bros.I was lucky to get some photos - slides - of it as it came down
Market St - Kingsway, but it was no sooner in SMD & it was OUT.There
was too much wrong with it - no globes - no bell cords - it needed
major work to make it roadworthy only to put it back in storage. The
Foreman decided there & then no storage trams for charters. Pity it
was an odd class & sounded great. They did their charter in L 101 &
became the last tram to use the Moreland Spur.
