Sun.31.3.24 Metro X
Frankston line: Trains will not stop at Parkdale until mid 2024 (level-crossing removal work). Shuttle buses will operate Mentone - Parkdale - Mordialloc, connecting with trains. No access to station facilities or platforms during this time.
It's a massive weekend of football this Easter, and the best way to get there is via public transport.   We're running extra services to and from MCG and Marvel Stadium.  https://bit.ly/4cCkOXK
Round 3 matches
Western Bulldogs v West Coast, Marvel Stadium on Sunday 31 March at 13.00
Richmond v Sydney, MCG on Sunday 31 March at 16.00
Hawthorn v Geelong, MCG on Monday 1 April 2024 at 15.20
16.32  Werribee line: Buses to replace trains via Altona (fire brigade).  Werribee trains will continue to run direct Laverton - Newport.  Buses may take up to 60 min to arrive.
- 16.50 Buses may take up to 40 min to arrive.
- 17.20 Buses may take up to 10 min to arrive.
- 19.26 The communication on this has been deplorable.  Are there any trains running direct from Newport to Laverton? Waiting at Newport about to see the third straight service to Williamstown.
- 19.44 Yes, trains are running direct between Newport and Laverton.  If it is only in a single direction, we will specify it as either outbound or citybound.
- 20.21 I asked only because from 18.30, when I was at Richmond station, until 19.40, when I was at Newport station, there was not one train to Werribee.  No Metro staff at Richmond had any idea what was going on. Just some friendly feedback for better communications.
- There was a grass fire near the Altona line.  All Werribee trains (apart from a single outbound one which was in the Altona loop when trains were stopped) have run direct between Newport & Laverton. Buses are still replacing trains via Altona loop.  [carefully avoiding answering the comment].
- 22.17 Trains via Altona are resuming.
- 22.44 We eventually heard about this issue whilst waiting to get a train, thankfully it’s all under control. Just thought the staff at the stations affected could be briefed on what was happening so they could relay it to us. Just some friendly feedback. Cheers for the replies.
16.42 Major delays Belgrave - Ringwood (police at Boronia).
- 16.56 clearing.
Mernda/Hurstbridge lines: Buses replace trains Parliament - Clifton Hill from 21.40 until the last train (maintenance works).
- Metro track works.
Sunbury/Craigieburn/Upfield/Glen Waverley lines: All trains direct to/from Flinders St from 22.00 until the last train (maintenance works).  From loop stations, take a train from pfm2 to Flinders St.
Trains will operate as a shuttle service between Burnley and Lilydale/Belgrave from 22.00 until the last train (works).  Change at Burnley from/to a Glen Waverley train.
Public-transport disruptions are happening through Autumn (infrastructure projects).
