Re: Sydney Light Rail Outage: Overhead Wiring Issues Cause Commuter Chaos In Sydney
  Tony Galloway

Can’t imagine why someone wouldn’t want to drive a bus in Sydney, must be laugh a minute…..

All the Transit Systems buses in the inner west constantly announce on their destination signs they’re hiring, when running empty, and have been for months. Still can’t fill the jobs, but of course that’d have nothing to do with the crap wages on offer and that this was the mob whose smartarse CEO tried on a bit of wages theft on top of that. And churn is enormous, those they do hire don’t last long because they won’t tolerate the working conditions, which match the wages. The sooner wages theft is criminalised the better, with the scumbags responsible going to gaol.

So yeah, I’m aware they’re short of drivers and why - all the operators are. And if wages and conditions don’t improve nothing will change.
