This important series aims to inspire action on climate change through evidence-based research and action.
*The City of Sydney has been carbon neutral since 2007 and we reached our goal of reducing our emissions by 70 per cent by 2030 in 2021, nine years early.*
We are using 100 per cent renewable electricity in our buildings and facilities and working to increase the city’s tree canopy cover by 50% by 2030. We are on track to achieve net zero emissions by 2035.

*Sydney celebrates Refugee Week!*
We are proud to be one of the country’s most diverse cities. Around half of our residents were born overseas, and more than a third speak a language other than English at home.
