Re: Return to Tiny Tram World

The police prefer the BMW for two basic reasons: superior driving dynamics
that enable safe manoeuvrability at high speed and extreme dynamic
situations and range. The Tesla may be great in a straight line but it
won't have the driving dynamics of the BMW. The police have both a need to
be in command when managing a situation and an OH&S issue. And naturally
they don't want to run short of juice just when they most need it.

And back to trams, the cruelest incident associated with gasoline was when
a petrol tanker collided with a brand new R1 class tram in Petersham in the
1950s and burnt it out. No doubt DGT management was cheering and was able
to apply the same method to the whole fleet a few years later.
