200 replaced by 100 means that headways will extend which is not going
please passengers. Headways are already (on some lines) too lengthy and
need to be shortened. Only keeping the fleet at present strength will
encourage passengers to continue to travel. It's just as well that car
ownership for inner suburban residents is one the wane.

If you don't believe that headway are crap, try catching a tram in Bourke
St to Spencer Street. A glance towards Parliament House will reveal nothing
in sight quite often. Of course Covid-19 has changed the landscape
probably for many years to come.
