Re: Sydney Harbour Bridge
  Anthony Dudley Horscroft

A long way back, I travelled by tram on the Botany line, and wanted to go to Matraville via Bunnerong, which maps indicated connected with the Botany line.  I was told at the terminus that the link no longer existed, and hadn't for many years.  I was also told that the end of the Botany line had recently been relaid in mass concrete, which the driver and conductor assured me meant that the line would soon be closed.IIRC, they also said that there was a stack of new rail somewhere near, ready for the next relay!

But that was many years ago and memories are sometimes a bit faulty.
