Central Sydney planning framework
We invite your feedback on a planning framework to improve and retain Sydney’s standing as Australia’s premier business district and global city.

The Central Sydney planning strategy is the first major review of planning controls in Central Sydney for 45 years. It sets out a plan for growth for Central Sydney to be able to support a further 100,000 jobs over the next 20 years, be resilient to market challenges and stimulate enterprise.

Integrated planning and reporting documents 2020/21
Our draft operational plan 2020/21 details our projects and programs for the next 12 months, including the annual budget, proposed rates model and fees and charges.

The draft resourcing strategy (2020) identifies how we’ll use our resources and engage our community to achieve our Sustainable Sydney 2030 goals.

Pyrmont Peninsula place strategy
The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment is inviting expressions of interest from community members to provide local knowledge and feedback to inform the place strategy. A bounce group of community, business and industry representatives will be set up to test ideas and complement broader engagement for the strategy.

Proposed street improvements on Bunn Street and Jones Bay Road, Pyrmont
We're proposing to widen the existing central median strip and plant trees on Jones Bay Road. We also propose to widen the footpaths, plant trees and install a central median strip on Bunn Street. We invite your feedback on the proposed designs. Read more

6 new cycleways in response to Covid-19
We’re installing 6 new bike links to make it easier for people to ride to work, school, and access services and local businesses. People will be able to commute while physical distancing and reducing demand on public transport.

We’ll work closely with the communities along each route and keep them updated as we install the new cycleways. Read more
