The Adtranz manuals for 2107 call it the 'Pyrmont Light Rail Vehicle' or
'PLRV'. As far as I can determine the manual never mentions the word 'tram'
at all, and it never actually says Variotram (or Variobahn, but that name
came much later anyway). If they need to refer to the type they say 'PLRV'.
The prototype in Chemnitz is most definitely a straßenbahn car.
