Making a highway wider helps little when a crash occurs. This is almost a daily occurrence on the 6 and 8 lane sections of the M1 Brisbane to the south. I was delayed in such a crash last Thursday around midday.

I would support Labor on public transport in WA and ACT for example, where they have a good record. In NSW they need to stay out of office for a very long time until they wake up and get their act together. Federally they're untrustworthy and with too much other baggage. Albanese is just opportunistically fishing for votes without any real policy. These two projects are already on the books in NSW waiting in a very substantial queue of transport projects.

There's nothing about freeways here, the Princes Hwy is a two-lane rural highway, an excellent one but with too many incompetent drivers on it who have bad accidents. The "upgrade" is about making accident black-spots safer and more idiot-proof. I wouldn't argue with that.
