Hallelujah. They can use that to finish the tram routes from Circular Quay
to Randwick and Kingsford, which by coincidence now seem to need that much
more.

At least Saturday's election means these lines will now open (eventually)
and not get paved over. It also means Melbourne won't get 60 fire-sale
Citadises.

Hopefully TfNSW will talk to some people in Melbourne about how to build
the extensions to Maroubra and Coogee. If that happens, they won't require
a trackbed of 3m-deep concrete for starters, nor take three years to lay
for each 1km segment.
