Exactly. They have as much right as anyone to express an opinion. But the majority of the complaints were that the government was
not doing anything about "Climate Change". Climate is changing - it always does so. But the evidence so far is that the current
changes are very slow, and if the government does any more to reduce CO2 emissions it will damage the economy more than any likely
costs from the observed "Climate Change". In addition, increased CO2 is a benefit as it is the source material for all green
plants - these are basically carbohydrates put together from atmospheric CO2 plus ground water, plus a very small amount of
essential minerals.

Currently China increases its CO2 emissions every year by about as much as the entire Australian economy. India is not for behind,
and the USA is the second largest emitter, but its emissions are decreasing due to the replacement of coal by oil and gas thanks to
'fracking'. Australia's Chief Scientist, when asked in Senate Estimates how much the global temperature would decrease as the
result of the complete cessation of CO2 emissions in Australia said "approximately nothing".
