Re: Map Request - Victoria Square Adelaide

Graham,
Christopher Steele's map that Mal posted is one of a series of network maps
that were published in "Adelaide road passenger transport, 1836-1958 / by
J.C. Radcliffe and C.J.M. Steele" (see
https://catalogue.nla.gov.au/Record/1180797 for a catalogue record). Each
map was the state of the network at a particular date with minor
variations. In the portion of Map 4 (24 May 1952) that Mal included there
is only one variation shown: on Currie St between K William and Morphett St
the variation is drawn as the isolated short section of double track with
crossover to the north of the Currie St tracks. I take it that the map
excluding the variant fragments represents the state of the network at the
stated date and that the variant fragments represent the track layout at an
earlier date. From what I recall Map 4 was the latest map in the book.
