Re: Driving light rail to give former teacher a new lease on life

One morning after signing on I had to walk through the depot to where my steed was stabled in the wash road. I stopped to look at some drawings that were laid out and received a smart comment from one of the maintenance people along the lines of “Would you know what you are looking at?” After discussing the circuits with him for a few minutes I do believe that his question was answered.

You are correct Tony, they were very wary of anyone who appeared to know anything about trams be it technical or operational. It would appear that little has changed.

In all fairness a couple of the engineers from Adtranz were definitely not like that but they were the exceptions.

I would last about five minutes at MacDonald's before I lost it with a customer. Ah, I missed your point! You don’t need to have actually worked there you just put it on your CV.

That would be the ultimate case of having too much knowledge for the job Geoff! Best to just put that you've worked in Macdonalds in your CV.
