The story on No 5's demise is interesting. As i understand it, it was stored at the rear of Malvern Depot with the TMSV cars in the mid 1960's. Despite knowing the intentions of the MMTB to scrap the car, the TMSV management of the day did nothing to stop this happening or retain the car for preservation. It was towed out of Malvern to Preston and scrapped.
