The long discussed closure of the southbound lane in Elizabeth St
Melbourne south of Flinders Lane has happened with the creation of a
"Pop Up Park" comprising plants in pots with covers.

I came across it last night and 'took a snap'.

My wait for a northbound tram was fruitless - 122 had failed at Bourke
St and they were awaiting the arrival of R10 - another snap.

By the time I walked to LaTrobe St, 122 was on the move and service resumed.

Mal Rowe - not impressed that the first route 59 tram to run after the
delay turfed all the passengers (including me) out at Essendon Depot.
