Note that tram testing is suspended for a few days for track maintenance. I’m not certain what this is but a driver told me that the trackbed had settled slightly in places.

I’m certain that it could not be much of importance.

> TEMPORARY WEEKEND CLOSURE OF SMITH STEET AT NAPPER ROAD INSTALLATION OF PARKWOOD STATION PEDESTRIAN FOOTBRIDGE

> From tonight at 8:00pm to 5:00am Monday 11 December 2017 the installation of the Parkwood footbridge and stairwells will occur spanning across Smith Street as part of the Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 2 project. During the footbridge and stairwell installation, Napper Road eastbound and southbound will be detoured (please refer to the attached works notification).

> Motorists should expect delays or seek an alternative route.

> Some minor increases in noise levels from machinery, equipment and site vehicles.

> Traffic control for lane closures, diversions and detours including signage to direct motorists.

> Visual message boards will operate in the area to keep you informed if wet weather or unforeseen circumstances delay this activity.

> COMPLETION WORKS - TRAM TESTING

> Tram testing between the Gold Coast University Hospital station and Helensvale station is temporarily suspended until Tuesday 12 December 2017 to allow for general maintenance and completion works to take place across all areas of the alignment.

> These completion activities include both day and night shifts.

> Residents may experience some increased noise levels from machinery, including trucks, excavators and light vehicles.

> BUS STOP INSTALLATION – PARKWOOD AND PARKWOOD EAST STATIONS

> The installation and upgrade of new bus stops at the front of Parkwood and Parkwood East stations is now underway on both Greenacre Drive and Henry Cotton Drive. This work is expected to continue for another three weeks, weather and construction conditions permitting.

> On Monday 11 December 2017 the placement of asphalt will take place in front of both upgraded bus stops located on Greenacre Drive.

> In the event of wet weather or unforeseen circumstances, this activity will occur on the next available day shift.

> Strong petroleum odours are omitted during the base asphalt placement. Odours will dissipate as the product sets.
