The driver in my days was Milton the Mad Motorman, Mick Duncan will remember him. Thus named by the late and lamented Alan Jungwirth. Not a popular character and an extremely ordinary motorman he was too.

The freight car was driven usually by an ex traffic driver.

It would have been far more efficient and cost affective to use a truck to get from the workshops to the various depots,especially after the Holden St.. line was removed.G.Farrar
