Story of a gunzel's life. In November 2011, when my daughter was an exchange high school student in Germany, I took her on a Sunday train ride from Frankfurt to Sollingen (to experiences the trolley buses there of course) and of course we caught the 683 trolley bus to Vohwinkel to catch the famous Schwebebahn.

Naturalich, es war geschlossen that day and replaced with (diesel) buses. Probably the only day the whole year that happened.

A real bugger, as I am unlikely to get there again. Like me my wife loves Germany but hates trolley buses so I doubt she would detour to out-of-the-way Solingen on our next visit.
