Hello all -- wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2011.
Here are two more of my Kodachrome 1 pictures taken with a Voightlander Vito
35mm folding camera. in the early fifties.
1. This view was taken from Sydney Station clock tower looking south towards
Botany Bay. Items of interest are ----
a). Red single deck electric trains.
b) Exhibition building (now demolished) in Prince Alfred Park.
c) Prince Alfred Sub-station, the principal power source for electric trains
in the city area.
d) Original Railway Institute building. A 'P' class tram can be seen in
Chalmers Street near this building.
2. This view was taken from Sydney Station clock tower looking south-west
towards the Sydney Railway Yard. Items of interest are ----
a) Red single deck electric trains on flyover junctions.
b) Country carriages on sidings near eastern carriage shed (now demolished)
c) Steam locomotives and trains at various terminal platforms.
d) Four signal boxes - Original 1906 West box in middle of yard -- 1924
West box on gantry at right --- East box adjacent to eastern carriage shed
--- Wells Street box beyond multi-arch Cleveland St bridge.
e) Regent Street Mortuary station at right side (beyond white roofed covered
way).
Noel Reed. About to watch the Sydney Harbour fireworks and anticipating
more TDU activity in 2011.

Kodachrome II, in my father's Agfa Silette. I always got a surprise when I
got a fairly reasonably exposed picture on KII.
