Hi Greg,

I would have gone for the hospital opposite Ipswich Rd Depot (although my memory is of cream brick), as the tram is on route 71 to Clayfield, and that started at Salisbury. Others have done the identification already. Junction Hotel was not far from this location, but has been renamed (and it wasn't a tram junction).

274 kB matches the group guidelines well.
The next move is to rename before posting.
The photo archive searches on the file name.
img438 gives it nothing to go on.
The tram is 549, but anyone searching on that won't get to your photo.
In reverse, anyone searching for 438 will get there.
Likewise, other posters and I have felt that the date should be included in the filename (there is no one standard, so use a personal favourite).
The remaining trick is make sure that there are no spaces: they fool all sorts of software; use hyphen (-) or underscore (_) wherever a space is needed.
I always include my own name, so nobody has the excuse that they couldn't identify the original photographer.

Hence, something like img438-tram549-Brisbane-1967-GregDixon would be easy to do, but there are many possible variations, as you will see if you start browsing the photo archive at http://tdu.to.

One beauty of the archive: it is something into which you can log easily at an internet cafe when travelling overseas. You can't post replies through it, but you can keep up with what is happening in your absence.
