Thanks to Howard Clark, I have identified a few more people in the photos so the line up appears to be:

Unknown, unknown, unknown (is not David Keenan as first thought), possibly Ken Craven (the man in the white jacket), Jack Richardson (partially obscured), Hugh Ballment, lad unknown, Bob Young, Ronald E Murray, unknown (wearing spectacles and partially obscured), Keith Kings, unknown female (partially obscured), Ken Miller, Ian Brady, unknown (wearing spectacles), Ben Parle and Ron Jackson (recently deceased 2009).

Any other information about the people in the photo would be welcomed.

My memories of early AETA conventions were that they were strictly "dry" turns with delegates staying in "temperance" hotels. There was clearly a "thing" about alcohol as was the case in other enthusiast organisations at the time. I wonder if it was this was because of the strong influence of "teetotal" people within the organisations or a wider perception of community expectations of a transport enthusiast association?
