Alternative to ranting and pollie bashing
  Eugen Schilter

Dear Tim and others,
Ranting? kind off ok; Pollie bashing? not fair. They are mainly
excellent people; in real confusing & frustrating circumstances. (I
just come from the polling booth in Lindfield)

I am working, and happy so, in offering an alternative; to you and, in
the end, to the pollies: Build (a) a 21st century light rail as the
pivotal element to (b) streamline rail and thus (c) transform Sydney
transport.
Check out Waverail
www.waverail.com.au
and you will find it has the ingredients to design a true world class
transport system around it. And what a boon it would be for the west.
What a feat for the house prices when a rapid transport station is
within 500m.

If it is too hard to understand and you have no time to study the
beast, then try
http://waverail.wordpress.com/2009/12/04/am-i-correct-in-assuming-that-the-heavy-rail-would-then-just-serve-express-outer-suburbs/
or anything else that you find under Waverail suburban transport. If
nothing helps just jot the question/concern/blast onto the Q&A blog
www.waverail.wordpress.com

Do me the favour, will you? Sydney needs you.

regards
Eugen Schilter

Waverail(TM)is a tram style light rail operation which embodies the world's
first truly sustainable road transport. It uses non-stop sling-swap
technology
resulting in transportation as fast and as high-capacity as a train at speeds
suitable for on-road operation. Its high personnel costs - each railcar has a
driver - are overcome by extraordinary savings in energy, capital and
maintenance, giving it, especially in high volume application, a remarkable
profitability.
