Thanks for the compliments on the TTTCo, and the remarks
about World Vision.
It certainly makes it all worthwhile when one's peers say
they approve.
TTTCo has been doing the rounds for around three years
now.
For every show, I try to do something special or alter it
in some way.
For those who don't know about it.
Only a small layout about 1.2 m square
It is an HO scale working busway based on the German
FALLER CAR SYSTEM.
Battery powered vehicles run around the layout being
steered by a steel wire buried in the roadway.
Early in the piece I could see potential to develop a
working trolley bus system.
I now have achieved this, and am moving forward with
points and proper wiring a la prototype.
My Pet trolley is an American ACF Brill white metal kit I
bought of Gerry Weight of WEICO MODELS who was threatning to melt it
down.!!!!
This is fitted with a North West Short Line "Flea" single
axle train 12 volt drive to which I fitted road wheels.
The bus operates from a train controller and draws power
from the overhead wires.
For the Sunshine show I had fitted LED
lighting to it.
The working trolley poles were built by Phil Bertram and
have correct swivel heads.
