Don't worry about the check spellling. You bring to all the lists many
interesting posts with lots of information and experience.

To add to your treatise about the 21E and it's copies, they are
STILL being
made in Hong Kong as required, the Hong Kong tramways will build you
a brand
new powered Brill 21 E truck with motors (modern class F insulation)
complete with reslient wheels. Back in 1992 when I was working on a
project
for what became the Casino here, I had to investigate obtaining
trucks for
replica open cars, Hong Kong Quoted me (if memory serves) $125,000
for
truck, controllers and air compressor!!! They have all the patterns
and the
wheels are made in mainland China. The Hong Kong cars ride
exceptionally
well for 4 wheel (and incredibly weel for 21E) as they have replaced
much of
the steel springing with rubber blocks etc. These cars are double
deck and
narrow gauge too. They will make standard gauge as required as they
did do
for a tourist tramway (complete trams in fact) in England.
