Just some facts as I know them,  ( for the Ozzies !! )
I was able to visit the workshops with Ian Stewart and John Wolfe not long before the place folded.

The traverser was driven by a trolley bus motor and recieved DC power from two poles via genuine trolley bus overhead.
Spare trolleybus motors were found in a pit long after the TB's finished.

Now, Bob.........that bus;

Ex  Wellington Tramways Leyland OPS 3/1  9.8 litre....
Body .......all steel, New Zealand Motor bodies, Petone. 1948
Syncromesh manual 4 speed gearbox.

At the time of the photos the bus was owned by the Wellington Tramway Museum, Paekakariki.

PS .....you better remind me of December 1996
and those pictures are great.........See, I told you that you could do it !!
