That's right, Peter. 750 and 751 had Panhandle controls. I never saw them
until after they were converted to RC controllers. They were very good cars
when I drove them as they had a real good workover when they were converted
to conventional hand controls.

Civil Branch had a lot of terminology which was all their own.

One of us ought to go down and interview old Norm Maddock at that museum on
the side of Malvern Depot (?) on Glenferrie Road. He was the Tramways Union
Delegate for Civil Branch and you had to have been working for the Tramways
for at least a year to understand a word he said. I wish I had taped some of
his raves. Like something from another planet.
