Then there was the old Footscray line which ran from Williamstown

and Summerhill (?) Road at night and extended to Highpoint during

hours. It was called the "Little Road" and no AEC Mk III half-cab

buses were

allowed out on it because there were just too many turns and you

were

buggered after two trips.

Running "bang line" was a term introduced in Auckland by Aussie
traffic manager (ex-Adelaide) HH(Pop)Morgan I understand: in

it meant run on the "wrong" track, i.e the right-hand line until
blockage, works etc on left-hand line, had been by-passed.
