What's a clasp brake, Greg?
Were they good?
Any other brakes like dynamics or track brake on
the cars?
I only have a hazy memory of the cars but remember
I really liked the bodywork on them and they were noisy at speed on the way to
Glenelg. Must have been a buzz to get that car back on some real work for
awhile.
When did the rest of the Adelaide tram system shut
down?

I had the pleasure of operating the car when it came down from the museum for the golden Jubilee in 79, it really flew, but then again so do the H's with a normal speed of around 40-45mph, they have been clocked at 50. 381 was nice with it's big seperate cab and "dutch doors", if memory serves, WGB turned up the day i was running the beast for the first time (I think I ran it on about 3 seperate days for the whole shift) we also ran the very nice F1 type and the museum's W2 294, which also performed exceedinly well, that was one great week.I know you can be acerbic at times, but...Nice shot WTF is it?Very modern looking body but very old fashioned looking trucks. Shame it doesn't have PCC trucks under it to give it some legs or is it a goer?Bob Murphy
