First point: Perhaps the question is whether this group is about
TramsDownUnder or people DownUnder who like to talk about trams
irrespective of where the trams are? Seems the latter is what is
actually happening on this group?
Second: There is quite crop of tram/trolley related Yahoo group sites
now - several covering more or less the same thing. Some groups are
quite wide and then there are some quite specialised. But the more
there are, the less time we have to participate in each. So I'm not
keen to see a lot more. TramsDownUnder(only)seems like quite a good
grouping to me.
For interest there are several other sites I have on my list which
aren't mentioned in the Bookmarks (Peter is it OK I put them there?)
People who have different interests can make use of them.

Hi, gang!

There seems to be great interest among listmembers of the trams of
Hong Kong
and also Calcutta, India. Being that both cities were once part of
the
British Empire (as were Australia and New Zealand), I have set up a
poll for
you to vote on including or excluding discussion of those cities on
TramsDownUnder, despite the fact that both of them are above the
Equator.

If you don't have a Yahoo! ID, and wish to vote, this is a great
time to set
up your ID. I realize that some of you don't have one, but I can
help you
try to get one set up.

To vote, go to:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TramsDownUnder/polls

I would like to try having you vote through the web site first.
If you can't get on (or give up trying), send your choice to me.
DO NOT
SEND YOUR CHOICE TO THE GROUP! Polling closes October 21 at
10:00pm Pacific
Daylight Time.
