It is very disappointing to find that in order to participate fully
in the activities of this Egroup it is neccessary to hold a diploma
in Computer use.
Some two and a half years ago when I purchased this PC, I brought new
meaning to the term "Computer Illiterate"......I even had the book
"Dummies Guide to turning your PC on and off !!"
I have managed to learn a lot since then, but of course there are
still many areas in which I am not proficient.
So I was somewhat comforted by that fact that others were having
problems downloading the Citadis Adverts, and that it was not just me.
Moving on to the B/W negative scanning I have been doing......Here
again, a lot to learn, so results have been very experimental, but I
am very pleased with the results (Every home should have one!)
When I moved into the colour negative files, I had to change methods
and do more experiments , especially with the pictures I posted of
New Plymouth.
These negs have suffered greatly with time and have a cancerous
blemish spreading over the negs, but I thought the group would
appreciate seeing the trams in at least reasonable colour.
So it came as quite a surprise to have them returned and "Corrected"
and I feel quite insulted.
I am not soliciting an apology from the sender, who mistakenly
assumes his comments appropriate.....Just ease up and get down to the
serious business of enjoying this group and post some more NZ
pictures !!!! (Or Australian if there are any :))
Oh yes, another thing....surely it is the done thing to allow the
person who posted a message to answer any question relating to it,
(Within resonable time), and not have two or three members full of
good intentions coming in with their two bobs worth.
This often detracts from the direction the original sender was heading
and can lead to confusion and misunderstanding.
Also it gets up my nose.........So there !!!
