The track 'emergency' trucks are still out and about too; as I saw
them doing maintenance work and cleaning the points at Toorak
Terminus the other day.

Geoff,

During the last year I have never seen any routine maintenance such as cleaning out track drains being carried out.At least before privatisation one would see regular chores being undertaken.

Now you only see the results of deferred maintenance.The special work at Balaclava Junction is a disgrace.
