No chance of it coming to "the land of the long white shroud" I
suppose? It might be a welcome lift to those in Auckland who have
been barracking for LRT for years, but have now to contemplate some
more clapped-out museum stock from OZ for the local "rail transport"
system. Attempts were made some years ago to interst Comeng /ABB in
bringing over stock for possible demonstration running on the Western
Springs line - but (perhaps wisely) they felt the chances of Auckland
developing its rail transport systems in any modern-world fashion
were not worth the effort.
