I find it fascinating that anybody in today's English-speaking world would
bemoan the use of modern trams. Only in Melbourne could he have that luxury.

Of course, if we *really* want to return to the Golden Age of tramways we need
to rip up our streets and return them to a more natural state. And think what
benefits that would bring in terms of improved water runoff management!

Then again, if you need to see W's with trolley poles you can always come to
the US.
