A few years ago, they built a line around town as a tourist line, a one
way
loop with an overtaking siding.
Car 178 Was known as a "Brill" for obvious reasons and had equally
obvious
US body styling, Car 152 was built locally by Boon and was known as such,
the "drop Centre" design was very much in vogue in Australasia from the
early teens, if memory serves me correctly, the first cars were built in
1914 onwards, for the Prahran &Malvern tramways Trust and Hawthorn

Trust (which were taken over by the MMTB in 1919) and many of these cars
still operate in Bendigo and Ballarat, the actual "drop centre" principle
(the centre frame where the doors were located) lasted in Melbourne till
the
last W7 was built (1040) in 1956.
