"TAN" stands for tangent, when an on-topic subject wanders off into another
direction. For instance, if a post stating that Muni car 1 had an accident
that
damaged its Eclipse fender and the discussion wanders off into talking about
all the different types of fenders and lifeguards, etc. For example the
original subject line was "Car 1 has accident" it should be changed to "Muni
fender types [TAN] {Was car 1 had accident}
And remember to SNIP older parts of the discussion, too. Thanks.
