Hi Bill,
The colours were chosen for promotional purposes only, the W2 for the
colours trams would have worn if Walter Burley Griffin had, had his way, the
R1 will eventually go back in standard Sydney colours.

I agree, its looks a bit "naked" as it stands.
If a core value of the Federation Line project is to use trams from a
number of Australian cities, why have they choosen unusual colour
schemes for the cars concerned?
