The Age report (17 December 2002) mentions the National Bus Company
operations are not being handed back to the Government.
It also indicates that Yarra Trams are in no real hurry to fill the
gap left by the departure of National Express.
But the Government is reported as being committed to the continuing
private operation of Melbourne's tram system.
