Rail operator quits Melbourne after failed talks

Train and tram operator National Express has announced it is
withdrawing from Melbourne next week.
The company says year-long negotiations with the Victorian Government
have not been successful.
The firm runs V/Line passenger trains, M-Train and Swanston trams.
It will start handing over its operations to the state tomorrow and
says there will be no disruptions to services.
